- ExxonMobil Corporation – >120 Facilities –Completed gasoline UST system release investigations; site characterization work including monitoring well, soil boring, and soil gas point installation and sampling; fate and transport modeling and risk assessment; pilot testing; remedial system design; installation, construction, operation, and maintenance of combined groundwater and soil vapor extraction and combined groundwater and soil vapor extraction with air sparging remediation systems; procurement of NPDES permit; potable well sampling and treatment; hydrogeologic assessments; regulatory negotiations; and reporting.
- Pennsylvania Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund – Multiple Claim Assignments – B&B has worked on more than 160 third-party technical review assignments on claims made to the state-run underground storage tank insurance fund. Assignments have included performing technical reviews of workplans and reports prior to submission to PADEP, review of proposed costs for investigation and remediation, facilitating the solicitation of competitive bids for site remediation, and litigation support. B&B is currently one of only four environmental consulting firms that perform peer reviews for PAUSTIF on other consultants working on PAUSTIF-funded projects. B&B’s recommendations on technical aspects of claims have resulted in savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Fund.

– Multiple Facilities – Completed site characterization work to address TCE and petroleum-related compounds, including installation and sampling of monitoring wells, soil borings, and soil gas points; fate and transport modeling; risk assessment; engineering design; permitting; remedial system design; completion of interim remedial events; sensitive receptor surveys; potable well sampling and treatment; connection of properties to public water system; attainment sampling/site closures; regulatory negotiations; and reporting. Also completed characterization and remediation for a Brownfield site that was redeveloped into a Lowe’s home center and several smaller commercial parcels under PADEP’s Act 2 program.
- North Penn Area 6 Superfund Site – Lansdale, Pennsylvania – B&B managed the removal of approximately 6,500 tons of soil impacted by chlorinated solvents from multiple Potentially Responsible Party sites at the North Penn Area 6 Superfund Site. We also conducted confirmatory soil sampling following the excavation. The soil was disposed at a regulated disposal facility, and the project was completed on schedule and within budget.

an 8,000-gallon heating oil UST, including installation and sampling of monitoring wells,soil borings, and soil gas sampling points; surface water sampling; sensitive receptor survey; aquifer testing; interim remedial actions; LNAPL investigation, transmissivity testing, recovery, and modeling; remedial system design; installation, construction, operation, and maintenance of combined groundwater and soil vapor extraction remediation system; permitting; regulatory negotiations; fate & transport and surface water modeling; risk assessment; and reporting.
